- (3358) StoneCircle
This is a stone circle (ala Stonehenge) I crafted. - (3234) Big Tent
Yep. Slept in one of these many times. In winter they'd have a stove that burned (IIRC) diesel for heat. - (3230) Beer Stein
- (3214) Canteen
Yes. Yes I can. Still. Decades later. - (3192) SillyEarPlugs
These were a joke. Ridiculously bad fitting ear plugs that were easily lost. Typical cheap military equipment - insufficient for the task. - (3173) Schwäbisch Gmünd Marktplatz Fountain
I walked by that fountain a bunch of times. I don't remember if I ever saw it working though. - (3164) Manual
- (3138) P1 erected
A fully erect P1A. (The P2 had triangular shaped forward wings, not the square ones shown here.) - (3133) itsnotagasmask
Yes these were used as pillows. Not good pillows, but better than nothing. And in a pinch they could even filter out bad gasses - but don't call them "gas masks" because that's not the Army way. - (3113) MAN on hard stand
- (3099) Mess Kit
- (3084) p2-model-hemmit
- (3074) CattleCar
Yep, I rode in something like this several times during Basic Training. They'd pack an entire battery in one of these - standing room only. - (3039) Mick - made it to LTC
Capt. Mick was my battery commander when I was in Germany. Heck of a good dude. - (3036) P-38
P-38 survival can opener. One of these would come in a C-Rat box so you could open the cans. The P-51 is superior, being a bit larger and built better. Either could fit in your wallet.
